About Hellfire Records : Artists Perspective

 

Hellfire is an independent record label committed to artist development.

Following the examples of of early Indie labels like Sun Records and Motown, we own our own recording studio (Clark Drive Studios) which enables us to spend time with our artists developing an image and sound without the pressures and time constraints of high cost recording facilities.

Due to this fact, we come into contact with many unsigned bands that really deserve a break,

This is what Hellfire is all about.

We do not require that bands sign with us in order to get exposure on our site.... only that we feel there is some sort of commercial potential for the band. If you record with us and don't end up on the Hellfire website it does not mean that you suck... It probably means that you are outside the commercial mainstream, which in many genres can be a good thing.

If you have recorded with us and do not find yourself on this site.....and...... you are very serious and dedicated and want to "make it" no matter what, please talk to me (producer Rick Welin) about referrals to songwriting coaches and arrangers etc. to take your songs to the next level. We have many high profile contacts in the music industry. And chances are we can team you up with people that make their living in the industry and that can help you polish your songs, and image , and help get your career on track.

Well here it is.... We have done the ground work .

We run an independent recording studio here in Vancouver British Columbia that attracts tons of unsigned talent. Vancouver is the LA of Canada and we boast several thousand bands in our town.
Some of whom really deserve a leg up in the industry.

We act as a filter so you don't have to waste your time filing through endless crap on My Space or Garageband.com looking for unsigned talent ....we offer talent that actually has talent.

That's where Hellfire comes in.

We make sure that only the very best of the artists we come in contact make it onto this site, so you can be assured that you will not be wasting your time checking out our bands.

We approach the best bands that record with us and offer to get behind them in a mentor relationship,and to help them gain a little higher profile. As well, we work with them on image and industry expectations and the commercial aspects of their chosen profession...

We are not Genre Specific, so you will find Death Metal right beside POP or Blues Rock on our site...

We believe in only one genre: Good Music!

All of the artists on our site are independent, and have music to offer for Synching to film, Indie Radio air play, Major and Indie Label contracts, etc.
